What can make up a remittance price?
A quoted transfer can include an explicit customer fee and an exchange rate that affects how much the recipient receives. The selected collection or delivery provider may also have commercial terms. These elements should be explained for the actual corridor, amount and method rather than treated as one universal platform fee.
What does the global benchmark show?
The World Bank reported that the global average cost of sending $200 was 6.4% in the fourth quarter of 2023. Its same release reported 5% for digital remittances and 7% for non-digital methods, compared with the UN Sustainable Development Goal target of 3%. These are dated global benchmarks, not InfinityRemit prices or a quote for a specific corridor.
How does corridor configuration affect fees?
In InfinityRemit, a customer fee can be configured for each corridor. Pay-in and payout partner shares are separate settings and may be zero. The route determines how the transfer is delivered; the fee-sharing settings determine how the configured customer fee is allocated.
What should an operator show a customer?
Present the send amount, explicit customer fee, applied exchange rate, expected receive amount, delivery method and any known external charge in plain language. Record when rate-sensitive information was produced. Do not reuse a sample figure as a permanent or universal price.
