A small example
A branch begins with GBP 1,000 of available float. Head office records a GBP 500 deposit, giving it GBP 1,500 before any further activity. These are sample figures; the branch’s actual balance follows its recorded entries and account currency.
Why a receipt reference matters
A receipt connects the funding request to its record. In InfinityRemit’s funding workflow, repeating a successful request with the same receipt scope and details returns the existing result. Reusing it with different details is rejected for review.
Branch float and head-office capital are different views
A branch balance shows funds available to that branch. The treasury view supports head-office capital allocation. When capital enforcement is enabled, funding is checked against available capital within the posting operation.
Look behind the balance
A useful financial view lets staff open the deposits, journals and statements behind a number. Reviewing those records helps explain funding and subsequent movements. Balance-to-posting checks are distinct from matching every transaction against an external provider statement.
